What’s the Difference Between Advantage 900 and Glyptex Paint? (Video)
Posted on February 7, 2018
The video shown below is a conversation between Lee Sapata and Gene Helm. Gene, who has 40+ years of experience working with Porter Paints, explains how Advantage 900 differs from Glyptex paint.
Advantage 900 is a super-premium Waterborn Acrylic Enamel that was developed to behave like an Oil-Based Alkyd, but with the ability to be cleaned with water. Advantage 900 can be used both on interior and exterior projects and works well on doors and trim. Oil-based paint products typically dry slow, have a strong odor and are tough to clean up after application. Glyptex is an example of a premium oil-based paint from Porter Paints.
Advantage 900 was designed and developed to be all things that an oil-based product is not:
- Fast drying
- Low odor
- Easy to clean
- Washable
- Strong bonding capabilities
And if you already have an oil-based paint on your trim or door, don’t worry! Simply give the surface a good sanding and cleaning and then apply Advantage 900. Contact CertaPro Painters of Southern Indiana today by calling 812-462-3782.
