Breakthrough vs Advantage 900 – PPG Paints
Posted on April 19, 2019
Breakthrough and Advantage 900 are two great products from Porter Paints (PPG), both with their own distinguishing advantages.
Some similarities between Breakthrough and Advantage 900 are:
- Both products bond to surfaces previously painted with oil based products
- Both have low VOCs
- Both have good adhesion
Breakthrough:
- Cures faster
- Dries harder
- Bonds to more difficult surfaces (glass, ceramic, Formica)
Advantage 900:
- Dries slower, giving the DIY more time (easier) to apply
- Available in semi-gloss and gloss
