Breakthrough vs Advantage 900 – PPG Paints

Breakthrough and Advantage 900 are two great products from Porter Paints (PPG), both with their own distinguishing advantages.

Some similarities between Breakthrough and Advantage 900 are:

• Both products bond to surfaces previously painted with oil based products
• Both have low VOCs
• Both have good adhesion

Breakthrough:

• Cures faster
• Dries harder
• Bonds to more difficult surfaces (glass, ceramic, Formica)

Advantage 900:

• Dries slower, giving the DIY more time (easier) to apply
• Available in semi-gloss and gloss
