Clark County Regional Airport Revival in Sellersburg, IN

In May 2024, a representative from Clark County Regional Airport in Sellersburg contacted us to transform the exterior of their hangar. Before starting, the building was sun faded white on the metal siding and hangar doors, had a rustic orange trim, and was dirty and discolored in some areas.

For this project, we had to scrape and sand loose and peeling paint, spot prime bare wood and metal in areas being painted while making sure that we do not spot prime areas being stained, window glaze if we are painting windows, resculpt trim and siding where its damaged, strip existing surface coating, and power wash to remove dirt, algae, mildew, and degraded or damaged wood fibers so the new finish coat will adhere properly. Our team was up for the challenge and worked with the conditions. Our painters had to work in the rain and scorching heat, this also involved working from tall heights. We had to clean thoroughly everyday due to the safety protocols at the airport. Ladders are taken down and stored in a chosen area along with all other tools and supplies. All debris was swept and removed from the property or thrown away in the appropriate trash receptacle according to the customer.

In 2 weeks, we revived this building and made it even more invigorating! Certain equipment that was used during this project included ladders and scissor lifts to reach tall parts of the property. We also used Sher-Cryl-Acrylic-Semi-Gloss for the metal surfaces of the hangar. The gray is is Silverpoint, SW7653 and the blue trim is Endless Sea, SW9150. Thankfully we were able to accommodate the client’s needs! We got another thrilled customer! See the transformation below.
