Don’t think you can paint your brick house? Think again!

Masonry paint has come a long, long way over the years and today it’s possible to paint a brick house with products that will last for many years, adhere with real strength, and resist fading over time. Let’s face it, in the Oklahoma area it makes sense to build with brick, it can withstand severe winds better than a wood structure and its long life and durability mean minimal maintenance.

At the same time though you end up with a house that can look a bit cookie-cutter in a neighborhood built with similar brick finishes. The solution is to use modern elastomeric paints designed specifically for masonry and brick. These modern paint formulations can handle the acidic surface of brick, the need to allow moisture to pass through them, and the ability to resist fading.

At CertaPro Painters® of South Oklahoma City, we have begun using paint products from the foremost expert in brick paint manufacturing – Romabio. Their products come with a 20-year warranty, are environmentally friendly, breathe to allow moisture passage, and adhere with an iron grip. The paints are all mineral-based and are designed to be applied the same day that you power wash the surface in order to properly prepare it. With dozens of shades to choose from making your house look unique in a sea of brick red is simple.

Before Work began…

This home in a development of similar brick houses only had its design to set it apart from the neighbor’s house but it was of a design repeated throughout the neighborhood. With a bit of power washing and prep work, the home’s brick exterior was ready to paint.
