When one recent client bought a beautiful home in Beverly Hills they reached out to CertaPro of Sherman Oaks for a bit of help. Their newly purchased home was nearly perfect but had some outdated, but otherwise beautiful wood cabinetry and trim. They tasked us with bringing it into the 21st Century, and we delivered for them with spectacular results!
Before the Cabinet Refinishing Started…
The project started with carefully covering and sealing off the room where the painting of the fixed pieces would be painted. The shelving and cabinet doors were removed along with all the hardware in order to paint them in another location. All of the surfaces in both locations were then sanded.
Cabinets Surrounding the Fireplace
This entertainment unit surrounding the fireplace was to be painted in-place, with care taken for all the pre-wired connections.
While the Work was Ongoing…
After sanding, the painters began applying BIN Shellac Primer, and two coats of Dunn Edwards Aristoshield Paint. A Titan 440 paint sprayer with a FFLP tip was used to achieve the proper finish.
When the Painting was Completed…
All of the hardware was reattached, the shelves and doors were reinstalled and the final result was revealed. With just a bit of job site clean up the end result was a dramatic transformation that again showed how much more cost-effective cabinet refinishing is over replacement.

The entire surround now matches nicely with the stonework and mantel around the fireplace.
