Home Interior Paint Refresh

Home Interior Color Refresh Painting Project
Project Overview: This residential project in Kansas City, Kansas, took place in October 2024 and lasted two weeks. The home, built in 1959, was in fair condition but had not been updated much since its construction. The project involved several key updates to modernize the space, starting with the application of a coat of Sherwin Williams’ ProBlock Oil-based Primer and two coats of Emerald Designer Edition in Eggshell sheen on the walls.
The project included refinishing all interior trim, baseboards, and shelving units, which were also primed with ProBlock Oil-based Primer and finished with Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel. The team also removed wallpaper from several rooms, further enhancing the home’s aesthetic. The project was completed with no major complications.
Challenges and Solutions: The ceilings throughout the residence had popcorn texture removed and replaced with a smooth knockdown texture, applied with a Hopper Gun, which requires careful use for ceiling texture.
