Exterior Makeover for a Historical School

Our team was hired to repaint the exterior of Presentation High School, a private, all-girl Catholic school. It is located in the Willow Glen area of San Jose.

About the Project:

Condition of Facility: The exterior of the building was in need of significant maintenance. Although the building is fairly modern, there was a lot of work going on at the time of painting. There were about 4-5 different trades working inside and out while we were there, including a paving company that we had to coordinate with closely since we had to use our booms and scissor lifts and get them out of the job site before they paved the parking lot.

Project Involvement: This was an extensive exterior painting job that required the use of scaffolding, 22-foot scissor lifts, and 45-foot boom lift. It also involved using several colors, from the sandy beige that covers most of the exterior to the signature blue accents across the campus.

Special Challenges: There was a small 2-week window for all the trades to finish our work, so we all had to work together so we could all finish our work before the students returned from summer break.
