CertaPro Painters® of Roanoke, VA, completed an exterior painting project for a home in Roanoke, VA. The residence was visibly weathered, with peeling and flaking paint on the shutters, exposing bare areas and diminishing both curb appeal and surface protection. The home’s exterior had also faded significantly from sun exposure, resulting in an uneven and worn appearance.
Led by Marbel and Luis, our crew restored the exterior across the front, left, rear, and right sides of the home. We began by performing a low-pressure wash on all paintable surfaces to avoid damaging the exterior while ensuring a clean surface for paint adhesion. Any raised or cupped boards were securely screwed down to create an even base.
Next, we scraped and removed any loose or peeling paint, replaced all failing caulk and applied new caulking to larger cracks as needed, repaired woodpecker holes and knot holes using paintable wood filler, and removed the shutters and downspouts before painting and reinstalled them afterward. The shutters and siding were prepared and painted with care, ensuring a durable, refreshed finish across all surfaces.
