Daleville Residential Exterior Painting Case Study

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
CertaPro Painters® of Roanoke, VA, repainted the exterior of a home in Daleville. The previous coat of paint had faded and chipped, with a need of a good wash prior to painting.
Our team removed loose or peeling paint, removed old caulking, pressure washed, and primed the garage siding. We painted all window frames, fascia, porch trim, trusses, railings, doors, and door frames with Sherwin Williams SuperPaint in white gloss, while staining the siding and soffits with Sherwin Williams Woodscapes Solid Stain in SW3025 Caribou. The interior windows facing the deck were also scraped, caulked, and painted with SuperPaint gloss.
A special technique used during this project involved using a low pressure wash.
CHALLENGES
During our prep work, we pressure washed the exterior to ensure the surfaces were thoroughly clean. However, we faced the challenge of soft washing around the windows to protect the seals from potential damage. Our team carefully adjusted the pressure and technique in these areas, using a gentler approach to ensure the windows were cleaned effectively without compromising their integrity. In addition to this challenge, we also had to ensure we matched the new paint color with this previous one.
PROJECT TIMELINE
The project was completed in 2 days, one day for washing, one day for painting.
THE FINAL RESULTS
The paint job dramatically refreshed the home’s exterior, restoring its vibrant look. Check out the photos below to see the stunning results!
