Bathroom & Bedroom Painting Case Study

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT

In December 2024, CertaPro Painters® of Roanoke, VA, repainted a residential home in Roanoke, addressing worn and aged walls, faded colors, and inconsistent finishes in the bedroom and bathroom. Additionally, water damage on the ceiling needed attention.

For this job, our team scraped loose paint, filled nail holes, replaced damaged caulk, and spot-primed as needed. In the bathroom’s shower area, we used Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Stain Blocking Primer to ensure proper adhesion and prevent stains. We then applied Sherwin Williams Duration Paint in a Satin finish on both walls and ceilings, perfect for moisture-prone areas. The bedroom walls were lightly sanded and primed, while the ceiling received the same stain-blocking primer to seal and cover water stains, ensuring long-lasting results.

CHALLENGES

The special challenge involved here was addressing the water stains to prevent them from reappearing. Our crew tackled this by applying Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Stain Blocking Primer, which is highly effective at preventing stains from bleeding through the new coat.
