Basement Painting Case Study

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
In Decemer 2023, our team undertook the task of transforming a semi-finished basement into a functional and stylish space. The client’s vision was to create a multi-purpose area that could serve both as a workout space and a TV room. To achieve this, we decided to paint the entire basement in Tricorn Black, a choice that lends the space a dark, moody ambiance, perfectly aligning with the client’s preference. Our scope of work extended to painting not just the walls but also the exposed ductwork of the HVAC system, integrating it seamlessly into the design

CHALLENGES:
The project was straightforward, with the primary focus on ensuring a high-quality finish. The main challenge we encountered was in the preparation phase, particularly the need for extensive priming. The walls, being newly installed drywall, required substantial priming to ensure that the final coat of paint adhered properly and displayed the color’s true depth.

The project took place in December 2023 and was completed in 2 days.
