Manufacturer Interior Painting Project

In November 2024, CertaPro Painters® of Roanoke, VA, was hired to repaint the interior of a large manufacturing facility in Cloverdale, VA. The facility’s walls were deteriorating with faded, chipped, and peeling paint. Due to the nature of the business, it was crucial to address these issues quickly, as the painted areas serve to mark safety zones and areas that employees must avoid.

The project required our team to scrape off loose and peeling paint, then spot prime areas as needed. Special attention was given to welded joints, chipped spots, and areas showing peeling paint. Our painters applied fresh coats of paint to the white, blue, and yellow beams, columns, conveyor system, ladders, and supports. Safety was a priority, and all painters wore hard hats and safety vests while working in the building. Additionally, the crew wore Raven Nitrile Gloves—powder-free, exam-grade, 7 mil disposable gloves that offer superior chemical and puncture resistance.

A special challenge on this project was preparing the blue and yellow beams for painting. The cleaning process took much longer than initially anticipated, delaying the start of the painting work. Despite the extra time required, the team worked diligently to get the beams properly cleaned, ensuring a smooth application of paint and maintaining the overall project timeline.

This project was completed in 8 days, adding new life to the facility’s’ infrastructure and equipment. See the transformation photos below!
