In June 2022, the expert painters at CertaPro Painters of Roanoke, VA were hired to refresh the underside of a loading dock roof that had fallen victim to extensive rust.

To tackle the rust issue, our first step was to pressure wash the area and remove as much debris as possible. Our next step involved the application of a solvent-based cleaner, which served as both a rust inhibitor and a powerful stripper. This treatment effectively slowed down the corrosion process on the metal surface.

We then applied a special order coating known as Corothane Mio-Aluminum. This is a single-component, low VOC, moisture curing, aluminum & Micaceous-filled urethane. Notably versatile, it serves as both a primer and finish coat. It is extremely durable and is a long-lasting weather guard that can be applied to almost any surface.

We completed this project in two days and the final result was a loading dock roof that was now fortified against the elements, thanks to the enduring protection of Corothane Mio-Aluminum coating.
