Facility Exterior Painting Project
In November 2024, CertaPro Painters® of Roanoke, VA, was hired to repaint the exterior of a vending machine service facility in Salem. The building’s exterior had rust spots, faded and weathered siding, and a build-up of dirt and grime.
Our team began by thoroughly washing and cleaning the surfaces to be painted. We then scraped off loose and peeling paint, spot-primed exposed wood and metal, and recaulked areas where the previous caulking had failed. We painted the siding, soffit, fascia, front overhang, gutters, downspouts, windows, window frames, doors, and door frames using direct-to-metal paint. The bay door frames were also painted. As all the painting was done with sprayers, the crew took special care during preparation to avoid any overspray on areas the customer wished to keep paint-free.
The primary challenge involved was that the work had to be completed during business hours, requiring the crew to work around employees and deliveries. However, the team’s experience allowed them to efficiently manage these obstacles without disrupting business operations.
They completed the project in just one day, and the color change gave the facility a simple yet refreshing new look. See the results below!
