Roanoke Residential Interior Painting Case Study

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
In April 2025, CertaPro Painters® of Roanoke, VA completed an interior repainting project for a residential home in Roanoke. The previous paint had significantly faded and become discolored over time, with visible wear in high-traffic areas such as hallways and around door frames.
Our team began by thoroughly preparing the surfaces, which included scraping and removing any loose or peeling paint, replacing deteriorated caulk, and filling nail holes where hardware had been removed. We also addressed nail pops along the ceiling seam between the dining room and living room to ensure a smooth, seamless finish.
For the majority of the project, we applied Sherwin-Williams Interior SuperPaint®, known for its excellent coverage and durability. In the bathrooms, we opted for Sherwin-Williams Duration Home® in a satin finish, selected for its superior moisture resistance and washability.
CHALLENGES
During the initial consultation, we identified water stains on some of the surfaces. To prevent these from resurfacing, our team applied a high-quality stain-blocking primer before painting. This step is crucial in mitigating potential long-term damage and ensuring a flawless final coat.
PROJECT TIMELINE
The project was completed in 2 days.
