Training Center Interior Painting Project
In November 2024, CertaPro Painters® of Roanoke, VA, was tasked with revitalizing the interior of a training facility. The project involved painting the walls of seven different rooms, all of which were in poor condition, with rust, peeling, and faded paint. Addressing these issues promptly was essential, as chipped or peeling paint can lead to further damage, including warping, rotting, and mold growth.
Our team began by thoroughly cleaning and preparing the walls for painting. Given that some walls were made of concrete and others of pressed board, selecting the appropriate paint system was crucial. The team used spray-applied interior satin paint in the colors Skipping Rocks SW9551, Clean Slate SW9621, and Soft Suede SW9577.
One of the key challenges of this project was addressing the rust and peeling paint. The rust needed to be completely removed before spot priming so that the paint would adhere properly and remain durable. Additionally, since the facility had to remain operational during the day, our team worked outside of regular business hours, arriving at 4 PM each day instead of our usual start time of 9-10 AM.
This project was completed in under 3 days, resulting in a much cleaner and more refreshed look for the facility. Check out the photos below!
