Exterior Color Transformation Case Study

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
In August 2024, a customer contacted CertaPro Painters^® of Roanoke, VA, to transform the exterior of their house. Before we could start painting, the house had severely faded paint, while the deck exhibited both faded and chipping paint. Additionally, the deck rails were similarly worn, showing signs of fading and damage. The project encompassed several essential services, including re-caulking previously treated gaps and cracks, pressure washing the surfaces, scraping loose and peeling paint, spot priming areas with bare wood, and completing the painting of the property.

CHALLENGES:
The main challenge presented to us was watching the rain that week. However, our Byron’s crew had to time preparation perfectly, and in doing so was able to get the exterior painting done before the large storm hit giving it plenty of time to dry as well. The project required the use of specialized equipment and techniques. During the preparation phase, a low-pressure pressure washer was utilized. For the application of the solid stain on the deck, a long-handled roller was employed to ensure even coverage.
