Brick Exterior Painting
Residential Painting Project
Brick Exterior Painting Case Study
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
Our team was hired for a residential exterior painting project that involved an initial basic pressure wash of all surfaces, which was completed in just 2 hours. On the first day, we conducted the pressure wash, followed by site preparation and priming on the second day. The use of specialized primers and paints ensured the project’s success over a total duration of 5 days
CHALLENGES:
The project faced two primary challenges: extensive preparation work and the application of primer on surfaces that had never been painted before, particularly the brickwork. Our team meticulously masked and taped all areas to prevent over-spray and ensure clean lines. We used Loxon Masonry and Brick Primer by Sherwin Williams to ensure proper adhesion and durability on the unpainted brick surfaces, followed by a top coat of Sherwin Williams’ Super Paint, an acrylic latex-based paint.
PROJECT TIMELINE
The entire project took place in March 2024 and was completed within a five-day span.
THE FINAL RESULTS
The project was a success, resulting in a beautifully refreshed home exterior. The client was pleased with the new look of their home, appreciating both the aesthetic improvements and the professional execution of the work.
