Office Building Renovation
The project involved a property purchased by XPO Logistics that served as office space for internal maintenance personnel and shop space for equipment maintenance. CertaPro Painters® of Renton Kent, WA was hired to clean, perform wall repairs, and refresh the maintenance area to match the current company colors. As for the exterior space, we corrected defects in the metal door surfaces and refreshed the OSHA Safety Yellow dock bumpers.
CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:Large commercial projects provide their own set of challenges. For this project, our CertaPro Painters had to use the designated OSHA Safety Yellow color to apply on the exterior door bump, so we had to make sure that our colors matched. The interior/exterior doors and interior metal wall-mounted ladders had to be cleaned of rust, prepped, and painted with industrial direct-to-metal paints by Sherwin-Williams. Office walls required oil primer to change the finish from stained wood to a brightened painted surface.
CONDITIONS:
- Cleaning – This facility was unused for several years and required a significant amount of cleaning to prep for surface corrections.
- Surface Defects – Corrected surface defects in walls, ceilings, doors including rust removal.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Wall Repair – We had to correct defects on the walls and ceilings of the office spaces, bathrooms, and breakrooms.
- Interior Paint – We had to prime the area for coats of matching company colors.
- Prep – Repair, maintenance, and adding primer for paint.
