Production Facility Interior Painting Service

About the Project:
The building is a large glass production facility that operates 24/7 located in Kent, Washington. The surfaces were previously painted years ago and consisted of concrete and drywall. Drywall corrections were needed, deep cleaning and degreasing of the upper concrete walls was required to prep the surfaces for industrial coatings.
Project Involvement:
The project involved a lot of planning around the facilities production operations to avoid impacting their daily operations. We worked closely with the GM to schedule preparation activities such as cleaning, degreasing and wall repairs required to prep for painting.
Special Challenges:
The upper walls were covered in a greasy substance believed to be a contaminant from the glass production process that settled on the walls over years of work. We used a scissor lift and commercial degreasing agent to remove the substance from the walls to prep for painting.
Special Equipment/Techniques:
We used commercial scissor lifts, extension ladders, chalk lines to ensure straight lines between the upper white walls and the lower blue walls.
