Our painters were recently called out to a large medical building in the Seattle area for an exterior painting service. The building exterior was metal and concrete. About the Project:
The facility was in fair condition but was heavily stained and dirty from years of organic growth. There were several foundational cracks that required preparation and correction as well as numerous areas of failing paint that required removal and surface preparation for recoating.
Project Involvement:
This project involved a full preparation and repaint of the exterior surfaces of the building to include full power washing, removal of loose paint & organic growth, primer where needed and complete painting of all surfaces.
We performed several repairs including, tightening hand rails, surface crack correction, old paint removal, recaulking and primer application as part of the pre painting preparation.
Special Challenges:
We provided color consulting services and several renditions of color mockups. Product selection was extremely important to help eliminate some of the previous issues with moss growth and staining (we selected and utilized self-cleaning paints to inhibit past issues from reoccurring). We also provided window tint removal and installation (removing old green window tint and installing a matching new color).
Special Techniques:
We deployed specialized 60’ articulating lift equipment to safely and efficiently access the upper areas of the building and our gas spray pumps with extra long hoses to apply paints without requiring power from the building.
