Helping the Local United Way Paint a Pre-School

Posted on December 21, 2021

When the United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra were looking to repaint a room they used as a pre-school they didn’t have to look far. CertaPro of Reno owner, Mary Wink happened to already be a member of the board of directors for the charity and was more than willing to help.

The goal was to refresh the look of an early childhood education and reading classroom that was well past due for a fresh coat of paint.

With no shortage of volunteer painters within the local chapter, the issue was really about acquiring the supplies needed to get the job done. This is where the folks at CertaPro of Reno stepped up, contributing not only the paint required but the drop cloths, tape, brushes, rollers, extension poles, and other supplies needed to get the job done.

Here are a few pictures of the whole project:

How did they like it? Well here are a couple of quotes from local members of United Way:

“We had plenty of paint, and the color and quality were amazing! Everyone is so delighted with the results. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of little ones!”

“I would like to echo my teams’ words and express my own gratitude for the donated paint! It feels so good to have this support from CertaPro to make impacting our community possible.”

While CertaPro may be a national brand it’s also a franchise with hundreds of local owners throughout the country who, like in the case of CertaPro of Reno, live, work, and contribute right in their home towns. If you are in the Reno area and would like to support a local charity that has a real impact on the local community contact United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra’s. They help make life better for children, families, and individuals in the 13 counties that comprise Northern Nevada.
