Reno Business Owner Wins CertaPro Painters® Top Award
Grew painting business 78% in 2021
Reno, NV- Feb. 9, 2022 – Mary Wink, owner of CertaPro Painters® of Reno, was named the winner of the company’s most prestigious award, the CertaCup. Wink and her team were selected out of nearly 400 CertaPro Painters® businesses across North America. To be considered for this top honor, the franchisee and their team must practice the company’s values, consistently deliver an extraordinary customer experience, and demonstrate growth in their residential and commercial painting business.
Last year, Wink became the first franchise in the history of the system to get nominated for the CertaCup award in its first year of business. After an incredible first year of production, Wink was able to grow the business by an outstanding 78% and take home this top honor.
“Starting a business during a pandemic was a risk and did not come without challenges,” says Mary Wink. “However, we’ve been able to show profitable and sustainable growth by developing our team members, reinvesting in our business with new vans and equipment, increasing local awareness, and continuing to focus on client satisfaction.”

The CertaPro Painters® of Reno team was recognized for its accomplishments during the franchise’s annual conference on Jan. 21 in Orlando. In addition to the CertaCup, the business received the award for Commercial Franchisee of the Year and its residential sales associate, Travis Kim, received a Silver award for his outstanding work.
The conference activities included networking sessions, keynote speakers, educational breakouts, and award events. Attendees were able to gain additional skills and knowledge as well as gain updates on how the brand will continue to expand its commercial and residential painting in an estimated $56 billion industry in the U.S. and Canada.
