Jim, a former CPA and financial controller, has been the proud owner of CertaPro Painters of Plymouth since 2013. His business philosophy, encapsulated in the name HQI (Honesty, Quality, Integrity), reflects his commitment to these values. Jim derives immense satisfaction from assisting homeowners and businesses in beautifying their spaces. Recently, he has focused on expanding the commercial side of his business, overseeing projects across Southeast Michigan and beyond. Alongside his career, Jim, with his wife Joyce, actively engages in community service, participates in sports, and dedicates time to charitable organizations.
In 2017, Matt joined CertaPro Painters of Plymouth and quickly rose to become a top salesperson. As Residential Sales Manager, he collaborates with clients to understand their painting needs and goals, using his expertise to help them envision and achieve their desired outcomes. Outside of work, Matt enjoys updating his historic home, bonding with his tight-knit neighborhood, and pursuing his passion for competitive cycling. Together, Jim and Matt epitomize dedication, innovation, and community involvement in the world of CertaPro Painters of Plymouth.

Since starting the franchise, there’s been no looking back for this painter duo. With a wealth of painting projects under their belt, Jim and Matt have grown by building a wonderful team and providing the best customer service experience possible. Even when faced with big challenges like navigating COVID & Inflation, the team has always managed to overcome any challenge.
The most rewarding aspect of running the franchise has been giving back to the community. To brighten up the community with painting comes with the job, but Jim and Matt have gone above and beyond with their contributions to the New City Kids program and Trinity Church in Plymouth, MI. With grace & gratitude, we hope to continue serving our community for many years to come.
