I bought the Pearland and Friendswood CertaPro Painters in March 2013. At that time, I was the sole employee, but since then have now built the business to include Mandi my wife, and also Commercial Sales Manager, Greg our Commercial Sales Associate, Debbie our Commercial Production Manager, Corynn my trusted Office Associate; Adam our Residential Sales Manager, Dusty our Residential Sales Associate, and Brenda our Residential Production Associate. We typically have between 20-30 painters working for us on any given day.
In early 2019 I purchased CertaPro Painters of Central Fort Bend covering Sugar Land, Richmond and Rosenberg. Residentially we now service Pearland, Friendswood, Alvin, Lake Jackson, Sugar Land, Richmond, Rosenberg, Fulshear, and the surrounding areas. Commercially we service the whole Greater Houston area, and occasionally we will even travel further afield to Austin and other Texas cities.
Before moving to Texas, I lived in London, England and was employed as a Scotland Yard Detective Sergeant. In my 23-year career as a Detective, I was instrumental in setting up a ‘gangs unit’ whose role was to identify and dismantle the most harmful gangs in London, as well as being specifically selected to work directly with the Senior Management Team on many different projects.
I am committed to running my business with honesty, integrity and professionalism. This is shown in the “NPS” customer surveys that we receive being well above the CertaPro 70% national average as our local company consistently receives 90% plus ratings. Each year our CertaPro Painters business has had continued growth starting at $500,000 in 2013 and in 2024 we completed over $3.6 million dollars in painting.
On a personal note, I am married to Mandi who has lived in Texas for over 35 years. We have two children. Our daughter is 29 and has a career in event management in London. Our son is 25 and now living in Ottawa, where he is engaged to be married. I am a lover of all sports with my first love being English football (soccer). Mandi and I are Houston Texans, season ticket holders. I enjoy attending baseball, basketball, and soccer games in Houston. The last members of our family are “Harper” and “Teddy”, our Labrador mixes that we adopted, and are often found at our office as our chief happiness and chief entertainment officers.
