House Colors in Pasadena, CA

We have been providing exterior painting services to homes in the Pasadena, CA for quite a few years and there are some common color choices that we thought we would highlight in this post. Color selection can be difficult, and often times you will want to pick something that not only you like, but fits in well with the houses in the neighborhood. We pulled several pictures from our residential painting portfolio that highlight common color choices in the area.

Light Yellow Exterior

This is a fairly common color, ranging in overall shade, but yellow on stucco exteriors in the Pasadena area is fairly common. The home pictured on the right is a stucco home in the Altadena area. The yellow goes well with the dark roof, white trim, and white fence. Homes in the neighborhood all shared similar light earthy tones.

Light / Baby Blue

Blues are less common, but fairly prevalent in the area. Califonrias blue skys and white clouds serve as an excellent backdrop to the color scheme. This color also pairs well with dark and light grays as accents on trim or as accessory colors for things like soffit edges or gutters.

Brown / Tan Stucco Exteriors

Brown or shades of brown and tan are one of the most common choices for stucco homes in Pasadena. Pictured on the right is a home we painted that has a medium shade brown exterior with white windows and shutters. The blue front door draws the attention and gives a splash of color when viewing from the curb.

Shades of Green

The home pictured on the right was another exterior job in Pasadena we completed a few years ago. The house has a natural medium shade of green. This home has a wood siding exterior and the color goes well with the houses in the area and the foliage in the yard.
