How much does it cost to paint the interior of my home?

Interior painting projects often require a lot of prep work before applying paint to the walls. Removing fixtures, proper taping, and repairing surface damages are usually part of an interior painting project.

Every room is a little different, and there are factors that can change to pricing based on the rooms shape and accessibility and color.

Things than can change the price of your project:

1) The height of the walls. A foyer with an 18′ wall will require more time ,equipment, and materials than a standard 8′ wall.
2) The surfaces being painted. The more surfaces you have in the room, the higher your price will be, things like window sills, crown molding, banisters, and doors are common to have painted along with the room.
3) The colors being painted and the colors being painted over. Some colors require more coats of paint and will cost more to get the desired result.
4) The condition of the surfaces being painted. if there are surfaces with damage, its best to repair them prior to painting, repairs will add to the cost of the project.

All wall prices are based on 2 coats of paint and all ceilings, trim surfaces and doors are based on a 1 coat refresh of a solid mid-grade paint from recognized paint companies. The prices below are based on painting the walls and then adding other surfaces. The price includes standard prep for each surface being painted. Prices may vary based on total rooms and surfaces being done during the project.
