Cedar Siding Refinish and Wood Repair in Arlington Heights

Scope of the Work:

This project involved a complete restoration of the home’s exterior surfaces, including garage frames, porch posts, gutters, downspouts, soffits, siding, fascia, door frames, and porch headers. Preparation began with thorough washing and wiping down of all surfaces, followed by scraping of any peeling or loose paint. Bare wood and metal were spot-primed to ensure proper adhesion, while existing caulk lines were inspected and replaced only where adhesion had failed.

To achieve a seamless, consistent texture on the cedar siding, the team used a brush and roll application method, allowing the stain to penetrate deeply and evenly. Challenges & Solutions:

The project also required detailed ladder work to access higher areas and achieve full, even coverage.
