Covid-19 And Safety: A Smart Tip On Daily Glove Use

Posted on May 1, 2020

Covid-19 has created many challenges when it comes to safety. With over 1 million Americans infected, going to the grocery, getting gas, and other routine tasks have become concerning during the worldwide outbreak. CertaPro Painters® of Aurora & Oswego provide a smart tip in how to mitigate cross-contamination.

Wearing masks and gloves on a daily basis can become a cumbersome operation. If your work or responsibilities necessitate direct contact with others you may require constant use of these materials. In the video below, CertaPro Painters® and their Commercial Marketing Associate, Christina Didech, demonstrate how to improve safety and material use to improve quantitative and qualitative measures.

The illustrated guideline shows how to use only one glove during your daily tasks. The gloved hand is meant to be used for items others may have touched (e.g. gas pumps, grocery items, card readers). The uncovered hand is meant to be sanitized and used with items you own. This includes objects like your keys or phone.

Covid-19 can also live on surfaces for hours at a time. This means one should be careful with how they remove the glove when it is no longer needed. Using the sanitized hand, a finger is slipped underneath the glove and pulled off the hand turning it inside out. The glove is finally discarded in a ziplock bag.

Keeping The Community Safe

This demonstration acts not only as a purposeful tip for the public. It offers comfort that Certapro Painters® are doing their very best to keep professionals and communities safe alike. They are providing an understanding of simple safety measures that will lessen the possibility of contamination.

Their professionals are also using sanitation kits while on the job. Large buckets of wipes, sanitation spray, and gloves are all included in the equipment necessary to complete a project. Housing demands haven’t slowed during this epidemic and CertaPro Painters® wants to make sure everyone involved is happy and safe when their service ends.
