The Client:

Situated in the heart of the New Jersey Highlands, West Milford Township is the home of The West Milford Museum, the result of over 35 years of collaboration between local volunteers, donors, businesses, and municipal government. Formerly a Methodist Episcopal Church (c.1860) built in the Gothic Revival style, the building also served as the Town Hall and the Town Hall Annex before being dedicated to the Museum in the 1980’s. Designated as a Local Historic Landmark by the Historic Preservation Commission in 1993 and extensively renovated inside to accommodate the museum exhibits, the old church got an exterior facelift this year, courtesy of CertaPro of Orange County.

The Client Challenge:

With its rotting siding and peeling paint, the facility required a team of professional painters to restore a look worthy of a local historic landmark.

The CertaPro Painters® Solution:

Carpentry repairs to restore severely rotted siding, braces and trim; Extensive preparation to remove years of peeling paint; Priming and painting.

The Success and Result:

This project took our team two weeks to complete. The final result was a fresh, new look for the historic West Milford Museum.
