Capo Industries Holding Tanks
CHALLENGES:
This commercial project took place at Capo Industry’s manufacturing facility in Burlington. Due to the limited availability of the epoxy products we were using, we had a mix of pails, gallons, and quarts which had to be mixed at different ratios. This meant we had to make sure we stayed organized to ensure the proper ratios
were being mixed. We were also unable to get a boom into this area which meant everything had to be done from ladders.
CONDITIONS:
The holding tanks were showing a signifcant amount of weathering with high amounts of rust. This meant we had to ensure a thorough power wash and scraping of all surface rust.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
This project involved painting the surface of the holding tanks, the ladders and all connecting transfer pipes. As each surface was being painted with a different colour and product, we had to establish the most efficient gameplan to avoid overspray.
PROJECT TIMELINE
The project took one week to complete and was wrapped up in October of 2024.
THE FINAL RESULTS
The Manager, Walter, was very happy with the transformation of their holding tanks.
