Sandman Hotel – Phase One Painting Project
CHALLENGES:
This commercial painting project took place at the Sandman Hotel. The hotel was extremely busy and as a result, we blocked large sections off from guests to ensure their safety. To get the job done we used scaffolding and a 60-foot straight boom.
CONDITIONS:
The hotel had not received a fresh coat of paint since its construction several years ago. Certain sections seemed to have only been primed, while others exhibited rust drips from the nails securing the hardie board to the building.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
The project involved minor carpentry tasks, the removal, and replacement of hardie board, exterior preparation, and painting. Additionally, we matched the hotels’ original colours.
PROJECT TIMELINE
This project was completed in August 2023
