Interior House Painting Services by CertaPro Painters® of Nova Scotia

We understand that the interior of your property is just as important as the exterior, which is why we specialize in providing high-quality interior painting services that are tailored to meet your specific needs. Our team of experts will work with you to choose the perfect colours and finishes that will bring your space to life, all while ensuring that your project is completed on time and within budget. Whether you’re looking to refresh a single room or transform your entire property, we’re here to help make your vision a reality. Trust CertaPro Painters of Nova-Scotia to provide exceptional interior painting services that exceed your expectations.

Step 1 - Colour Selection

Before we start, you will have to choose your colour. If you would like to replicate a colour already on your wall, you can use an old can of paint for reference, or you can take a chip to the paint store. We can help you identify the colour, the finish, and type of paint with our visualizer tools, and we also offer a Colour Consulting Service if you need help coming to a decision.

Step 2 - Protect the Area

We cover the furniture and floors with a new, clean piece of protective plastic sheeting. We also protect your floors with drop cloths, taking care to secure every inch of the room.

Step 3 - Prepare Surfaces

Our painting crew prepares the walls for interior painting by filling any holes or cracks in ceilings and walls, sealing any stains, and scuff sanding any uneven surfaces, including loose or old paint. This creates the smooth, clean canvas necessary for a beautiful finish.

Step 4 - Apply New Paint

After any areas repaired in the previous step are primed, we apply premium quality paints for a uniform finish. There are multiple finish options, including flat, matte, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss, and high-gloss, and we will have gone over the benefits of each with you beforehand so you can make an informed decision. The time will vary depending on the size of the job, but we will always ensure to work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Step 5 - Clean Up

The paint will dry within a few hours, and you do not need to vacate the house while this is happening. The crew removes all the painting materials and coverings. We sweep your floors and carpets and put everything back exactly where we found it while paying close attention to doing a thorough job cleaning the work area.

Step 6 - Walk Through Inspection

After our own inspection, your Job Site Supervisor will walk you through the space, giving you the opportunity to review our work and to provide any initial feedback. You may also be contacted for a follow-up satisfaction survey so that we know how we measured up to your expectations. Our paint jobs are designed to last up to 7 years on a properly maintained surface, so you will get to enjoy your beautiful newly painted room for years to come.

Common Questions About Interior Painting Projects

How much does it cost to paint a house interior?

The cost of interior painting will vary depending on several factors including the square footage, the number of coats, the conditions of the surfaces, how much the colour is changing, the height of the walls, and the labor rate in the region the home is located.

To get accurate pricing for your unique painting project, set up a free estimate appointment with CertaPro Painters® of Nova Scotia.

Do I need to move furniture before the crew arrives?

Your local painting team will cover and protect the furniture and floors, but if there is a delicate piece of furniture or an heirloom that is tricky to move, please remove it before your painting team arrives or make sure you notify the Job Site Supervisor before they begin the project.

Can you match the paint colour already on the walls?

CertaPro Painters® of Nova Scotia can match just about any paint colour on your home using a chip of paint or wet sample. Even if you do not remember the original colour codes, we can still match the colour.

Can you repair damage to trim or walls as part of the project?

It depends on the scope of the damage, but in many cases, yes. CertaPro Painters® of Nova Scotia can patch damaged sections of drywall and minor repair cracks in walls and ceilings as they prep for your painting project.

Repairs With Your Interior Painting Project

During an interior painting project, it is common to identify and address any necessary repairs to the walls, ceilings, and trim. These repairs may include patching holes or cracks in the drywall or plaster, replacing damaged or rotting wood trim, smoothing out rough or uneven surfaces, and removing any old wallpaper or adhesive residue. It is important to complete these repairs before painting, as they can affect the overall appearance and longevity of the paint job. CertaPro Painters® of Nova Scotia will typically assess the condition of the surfaces to be painted and provide recommendations for repairs prior to beginning the painting process.
