Project Designer

To help develop our brand by introducing our company as the best solutions for any painting needs. The design Consultant is an important member of our sales, marketing, and customer service teams. A Design Consultant is a front-line person responsible for bonding with the customer, understanding their needs, and helping solve their questions, advising to their projects

This person will be responsible for developing new customers throughout our market, meeting with warm leads at their properties, providing estimated proposals to customers, following up to close sales, and ensure customers are happy

The opportunity will allow you to navigate your career in design and also grow into a management position in our Residential Sales and Design department

What we're looking for

Project Designer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Initiate, develop and grow painting relationships
-Attend networking events and tradeshows to identify potential clients
-Identify prospects in target markets
-Use Social Media Marketing to help build client pool
-Generate RFP’s (Request for Proposals)
-Provide design expertise to assist guests defining their needs with genuine, welcoming and enthusiastic service delivery by exemplifying consultative selling abilities that drive results
-Demonstrate superior product knowledge
-Drive an entrepreneurial spirit, and work within a team to achieve and exceed goals
-Engage the guest in a professional and personable way ensuring a seamless experience that demonstrates your personal passion for the product
-Assist guests in one on one consultations, creating the design of their spaces to drive store sales
-Create and present design plans based on client's needs, style, preferences and living space
-Utilize effective selling techniques to build multiple sales and increase productivity
-Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions and share the values with the guest
-Able to show history of setting and achieving goals and milestones
-Efficient with Microsoft Office applications
-Ability to make new friends and start conversations with anyone
-Ability to work autonomously and be great at time-management
-Capable of working in all weather conditions and have flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends
-Understand that in order to grow your book of clients you must work outside of the 8a.m.-5p.m. Monday-Friday range
-Customer Service and/or Sales experience is a plus

General Job Responsibilities and Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in marketing or related field
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
  • Business to business sales and marketing experience (required)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Must like customer service or helping people
  • Creative and interest in home fashion and/or decorating
  • Enjoys training, mentoring, motivating and encouraging others
  • Good interpersonal skills and desire to be part of a winning team
  • Must be self-motivated and service/solution orientated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • High Energy. energetic personality with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, drive and ambition, and a team-oriented approach to customer service delivery
Compensation

$50-75K merit-based pay first year (base + commissions)
