What are Epoxy Floors?
Epoxy is different than paint, the end result has a vastly different finish and longevity than a standard latex or acrylic paints offer. The look of an epoxy floor can vary greatly depending on the products and techniques used during the installation. Many color options are available, some projects get flakes added to the top of the epoxy to add both added friction to prevent slips, and a garnish of extra color.
What is a Polyurea floor?
Polyurea is more commonly used in commercial applications, but it is an option for Garage floors. There are more finish options and the cured end product is much stronger than Epoxy. It has a faster curing time, lower VOC’s (less smell). Polyurea typically has a higher cost associated with it but many homeowners opt for it over an Epoxy coating.
