Commercial Case Study
by CertaPro Painters of the North Shore
The Project:
When a commercial real estate holding company began redevelopment of a downtown North Shore Chicago suburb, there was one company in mind to bring their vision of the development to life; CertaPro Painters of the North Shore. The vision consisted of approximately 10 buildings, all with differing uses. There were restaurants, retail stores, offices, and residential rentals, many of which remained open during the project. Read on to see how our team of professionals utilized efficient communication, permits, and heavy machinery, to bring this vision to life.
To begin with, our team was tasked with carpentry repair and prep-work prior to painting. Our professionals developed a new color scheme for the buildings, which required approval from the village board. Once approved, the team was really able to begin digging into the project. As part of the newly approved color scheme, stucco was to replace old cedar shingles on the upper facade of a grocer, which can be seen in the photos below.
In all, the project took approximately three months to complete. To protect and enable normal business function, the team rolled out sidewalk canopies for customer access to shops. Village permits were required to block streets and sidewalks during production, and therefore constant efficient communication was key to updates, progress reports, and acquiring permits.
