Crisis Center of Comal County Donation

Posted on May 8, 2020

At CertaPro Painters of NE San Antonio, we believe in supporting our community through actions that make a difference. Recently, we had the opportunity to contribute to a local project that will have a lasting impact on countless lives. By donating 43 gallons of paint to the Crisis Center of Comal County, we are helping to renovate their facility, which will enable them to accept 36 more clients in need of shelter and support.

The Crisis Center of Comal County has a critical mission: to provide a safe environment for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness, helping them make informed decisions about their future. Every donation or volunteer effort plays a vital role in supporting this cause, and we’re proud to be part of that effort.

The Importance of the Crisis Center of Comal County

The need for crisis services in Comal County cannot be overstated. The Crisis Center serves individuals who are often at their most vulnerable, offering resources for those facing domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness. Their services include providing shelter, crisis counseling, legal advocacy, and much more.

In April 2022, the Crisis Center faced a major setback when a fire destroyed its emergency shelter and residential facility. This left victims of abuse and their families with fewer options for safety in a critical moment. However, in August 2022, the center secured a temporary location in New Braunfels, allowing them to continue providing essential services while they work toward building a permanent facility.

The new shelter, expected to be completed in 2025, will provide a stable, long-term solution for those in need of a safe place to stay. It’s not just a building; it’s a lifeline for individuals and families who need immediate assistance and a path to recovery.

The Impact of Giving Back: A Shared Responsibility

At CertaPro Painters, we believe that supporting our community is more than just good business—it’s our responsibility. By donating paint for the renovation of the Crisis Center, we are doing our part to help improve the lives of people in our area. This donation will help the shelter serve more people in need, offering them a safer, more comfortable environment during a difficult time in their lives.

For individuals in Comal County facing domestic violence, sexual assault, or homelessness, the Crisis Center is a critical resource. But they can’t do it alone. Donations and volunteer efforts from the community help keep the doors open and the services available. Whether it’s a donation of paint, money, time, or supplies, every bit helps create a brighter future for those in need.
