Homeowners Association Carpentry & Exterior Painting Project
Sky Meadow’s Hawthorne Village Transformation: Exterior Painting and Carpentry Repairs
Project: Sky Meadow’s Hawthorne Village is a multi-unit residential community in Nashua, NH, that was in need of maintenance and updates. The buildings had peeling paint, damaged clapboards, rotted trim boards, and worn-out deck surfaces made from pressure-treated wood.
Process: The team at CertaPro Painters® of Nashua, NH, and Westford, MA, began by thoroughly inspecting each building, which consisted of 3-5 units. A dedicated carpentry crew removed and replaced all rotted wood, ensuring each surface was properly prepped for painting. Deck surfaces were upgraded to durable TREX material for improved longevity and aesthetics. Once the structural repairs were completed, the painting crew applied Sherwin Williams Latitude paint to refresh the buildings and provide long-lasting protection.
Coordination with the homeowners’ association board and residents was key to minimizing disruption. The team also worked closely with paving and roofing contractors to ensure smooth progress without delays.
Challenges: The project presented several challenges. Coordinating with homeowners, the association board, and crews required careful planning to balance efficiency and minimize disruptions. Determining the most urgent carpentry repairs while staying within budget was another hurdle. Additionally, specialized lifts were needed to access hard-to-reach areas, and the team worked within strict time parameters, including limited working hours and occasional Saturdays, to meet the association’s requirements.
Result: Despite weather-related delays and logistical complexities, the project was completed. The team’s dedication ensured that Sky Meadow’s Hawthorne Village was transformed with enhanced curb appeal and structural integrity. Homeowners were highly satisfied with the results, and the community now has a refreshed, well-maintained appearance.
