At CertaPro Painters, we’re passionate about transforming spaces with the power of paint. And when we got the chance to work with Kim Berk of 94.7 WLS in Chicago, we knew it was an opportunity to showcase our skills and add a little extra color to the world of radio.
The Project: A Personal Touch
Kim Berk, one half of the lively morning duo “Dave and Kim” on 94.7 WLS, approached us with a vision. Known for her vibrant personality and her love for Chicago, Kim wanted her space to reflect these qualities. She aimed for a design that would be as dynamic and engaging as her show.
Designing for a Radio Star
Understanding Kim’s unique style and the fast-paced nature of her work, we chose a palette that was both energizing and comforting. The colors needed to stimulate creativity for those early morning shows while providing a soothing ambiance for off-air work. Although this paint job was for her mother’s home, we aimed to impress both ladies with some of the best craftsmanship they’ve ever seen!
Working in Kim’s space, we focused on creating an atmosphere that would resonate with her spirited persona. We used bold, yet warm colors to bring the room to life. Accent walls were painted in vibrant hues to add depth and character, mirroring Kim’s dynamic presence on air.
The final result was a room that not only looked fantastic but also felt like a part of Kim’s own story. The colors chosen didn’t just brighten the walls; they added a new layer of personality to the space, reflecting the energy and passion that Kim brings to her listeners every day.

This project with Kim Berk was more than just another painting job for us.
