“JR’s Place” Diner in Lisle, IL
JR’s Place is a local diner in Lisle, Illinois. From burgers and pizza to breakfast and beverages, this small business has been a staple to the local community since 1998. The diner is located inside Lisle Lanes Bowling Alley on Lincoln Ave. While the diner had been vacant for a number of years, in August 2021, CertaPro Painters was contacted to refresh and revamp the interior to get it primed and ready for business.
CHALLENGES:
The walls had a coating of dirt and grease on them, which required careful removal.
The walls also required a number of small repairs due to restaurant carts knocking into them over the years.
Implementing a 3-tone color scheme of red, white, and blue was a task that required great skill and coordination.
CONDITIONS:
Grime Buildup – This interior was covered in three years of dust, dirt, and grime.
Darkened Halls – The bland old color scheme made the interior feel dark and not welcoming.
Wall Decorations – Special care was taken to remove the many decorations before painting
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
Prep – A degreaser was used to remove all the grime buildup common to restaurant establishments.
Repairs – Some wood repair and wall repair was required due to regular wear and tear
Painting – We chose colors to perfectly match the company’s brand identity
