Describe the condition of the walls/surfaces at the time work began.

The owners purchased this home despite its lime green stucco walls. The overhang was maintenance free so they wanted to find a way to update the color of the home without painting the metal overhang and gutters.

What did the project involve?

The customer wanted to change the color from lime green to white. They also wanted to update the accent color on the front of the home. The project had two challenges. First, since this was a major color change, it required over 50 gallons of paint to ensure a beautiful appearance. Secondly, the stucco was very rough in texture – the team had to apply 2 heavy coats and work the paint into the cracks and crevices in the stucco with brushes and rollers.

Were there any special challenges involved?

The home had a couple of fairly high peaks that were difficult to access. Fortunately, our crews can safely work off ladders in excess of 40′ to access those higher sections that need painting.

Did the project require any special equipment or techniques?

No.
