Commercial Painting Working Foreman/Supervisor

CertaPro Painters of Milwaukee is looking for skilled painters to operate as Working Foremen/Job Site Superintendents for our commercial painting projects. As a foreman/superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our commercial painting projects. You will lead a team of painters, ensuring that the work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. A foreman/superintendent is highly skilled in the basics of painting, including brush and roll application, spraying, minor drywall repairs and patching, caulking, sanding and masking. Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial painting and/or construction, with a strong
understanding of painting techniques, materials, and processes is required!
- Leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of
workers is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients,
team members, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to address challenges and make
decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to painting and construction
activities.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform painting tasks and work in various weather
conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

General Job Responsibilities and Required Skills
  • Responsibilities:
  • - Leadership: Lead and motivate painting crews, providing direction, guidance, and
  • support to ensure work is performed efficiently and effectively.
  • - Work Allocation: Assign tasks to painting crew members based on project
  • requirements, skills, and availability, ensuring optimal productivity.
  • - Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed
  • projects to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • - Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work
  • environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence
  • to OSHA regulations.
  • - Material Management: Coordinate the delivery and use of painting materials and
  • equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available to complete projects on schedule.
  • - Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between project managers,
  • clients, and painting crews, providing updates on project progress, issues, and
  • requirements.
  • - Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the
  • course of projects, implementing solutions to minimize delays and disruptions.
  • - Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to painting
  • crew members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in the commercial
  • painting industry.
  • - Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports,
  • time sheets, and material usage, to support project documentation and invoicing.
  • - Customer Service: Interact with clients and address any questions, concerns, or
  • feedback regarding painting projects, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Compensation

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
