Church Painting Project

First Baptist Church in Murphy, TX

In March 2020, CertaPro Painters^® of Far North Texas was contacted to repaint the First Baptist Church in Murphy, TX. The exterior project consisted of the main building along with the railing and 2 sheds. The siding also received some damage that would require repair to finalize the renovation. CHALLENGES:

For this particular assignment in Murphy, a 60 ft. boom lift was required to clean and paint the steeple. The church is also recognized as a historic building so particular care was taken by CertaPro’s professionals.

CONDITIONS:

Dirt Accumulation – The exterior of the church required an extensive power wash to remove accumulated dirt and residue
Worn Paint – The old layer of paint was in need of a refresh
Damaged Siding – Siding was in need of repair and replacement, requiring light carpentry work by the team
Exposed Metal – The railing needed a fresh coat to make sure it is protected and sealed from exposure

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:

Prep – The church and surrounding property were extensively cleaned and repaired to ready it for painting
Paint – The church’s exterior received a complete painting to give the property a full brand new look

PROJECT TIMELINE – 2 weeks
