In November 2025, CertaPro Painters® of McHenry completed a one-day exterior refresh for a long-standing, family-owned lumber and building materials business in Beloit, Wisconsin. The large wood-exterior facility featuring two garage bays had areas of peeling paint, exposed wood, and visible metal surfaces due to years of wear.
The business, in operation since 1886, needed a quick but professional restoration that would enhance its appearance with minimal impact on daily operations.

Scope of the Work:
This project began with heavy prep work to ensure all surfaces were sound and ready for paint. This included scraping peeling areas, washing the exterior to remove dirt and debris, and smoothing sections where wood or metal had begun to show through.
Once fully prepped, the crew primed and painted the rear gable siding, soffit, and fascia, using a combination of spray-and-back-roll and airless spray techniques. These application methods ensured consistent coverage on the large wood surfaces and created a durable, professional finish for the business’s exterior.
Challenges & Solutions:
The primary challenge for this project was working entirely within business hours, which required careful coordination to avoid interrupting customer access or day-to-day operations. The crew planned their workflow around high-activity times and maintained clean, organized work areas throughout the day.
Advanced application techniques, such as spray-and-back-roll were used to address uneven surfaces and deliver smooth, long-lasting results, and was completed in one day.
