Challenges
Special challenges involved in the cabinet painting process involve knowing your way around the HVLP sprayer and knowing the operation of all the cabinet hardware as they are different on every set. We also mark all doors with a stamp so that they can all be placed back in the correct spot once finished.
CONDITIONS
The surfaces were factory stained & finished cabinets
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
- Preparation – Project Involved removing all hardware, doors, & drawer faces. Marking all of the doors & drawer faces for installation after finished. Mask off inside of cabinets, and other surfaces. Doors & drawer faces were brought to the shop where they were lightly sanded, drawer pull holes were filled, primed, and coated twice via spray application from a HVLP sprayer. Boxes were lightly sanded, primed, and coated twice via brush and roller at the home. Once all items were final coated all items were brought back to the house and reassembled. All hardware was replaced with new and all drawer pulls were re-drilled for newer style pulls and installed.
