Challenges

Project is a working horse farm. We had to work not only with the fall/winter weather, but we also had to work around foaling season for the horses.

CONDITIONS

Facility was a long run farm that had years of wear and tear on the surfaces from livestock, workers, equipment, & weather over the years.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT

• • Preparation – The project involved outside contractor acid-washing structures before our start. We were hired to re-paint the entire exterior of 2 run-in sheds, 3 large barns, 1 Maintenace barn, & 1 Maintenace shop. We also painted the entire interior of 1 barn. The exterior scope included all doors, trim, siding, & a roof coating.
  • Painting – Roof coating had to be applied with gas powered sprayers in order to push the product and apply to the thickness required. We had to use alkyd products as well as 2 part epoxy products on the other surfaces of the buildings.
