CertaPro recently completed a complete interior paint job which included ceilings, walls, window frames, doors, door frames, baseboards, crown moulding, wainscot, cabinet and cupboard refinishing on this historic home.
Proper preparation was key to achieving the desired look the customer was looking for along with skill to achieve all the crisp edges to this finish. Only durable products that suit this family’s busy lifestyle were used. Colours that go with modern finishings but still work in an older Home.
Starting with our free colour consultation CertaPro was able to combine trending colour combinations with classic selections. The use of a clean white for the trim throughout allows for more vibrant colours well placed throughout
Project Involvement
All furniture and non target areas are covered and protected. The ceilings are sprayed using an airless paint sprayer.
Extra time is required when preparing the walls in this older home. The customer is looking for all inconsistencies to be addressed which we were glad to do. All trim is sanded and caulked where gaps and cracks exist. At that point everything received 2 coats using premium interior coatings from Sherwin Williams and Dulux Paints. CertaPro is careful to only start what can be completed and put back together that day so the family can still function. The cupboard doors and furniture that was refinished was removed and done at CertaPro’s shop.
The Job Site Supervisor provided daily updates on areas that were completed and which areas would be next, The Customer was kept up to date the whole way. Often Painting presents an opportunity to move and clean behind furniture that doesn’t get moved often, The customer appreciated the Crew’s attention to detail, efficiency and constant communication
Special attention was paid to the walls to ensure a consistent finish. Older homes tend to have several coats of old paint making it difficult to achieve a consistent look, especially where repairs have been done.
