Distribution Warehouse in Kansas City
Food Distribution Warehouse Painting Project
Project: A food distribution warehouse in Kansas City contact us to help with painting and repairs to the exterior of the building. The facility is a 500,000 square foot building located off I-70 in Kansas City, MO.
The building had not been painted in over 15 years and was due for a new coat. The original paint on the building had faded to time and sun exposure, and some parts of the building had peeling and failing paint.
In October of 2021 our team got to work on the project which included updating the colors to be more modern and scraping loose paint. The work was completed over a 3 week span. The project had some unique challenges including there being no water available on site to clean equipment and surfaces.
The metal, and masonry exterior walls were all painted as part of the project. We also did a clear water proofer on the split faced block on the front of the building to help give more life to this application.
Process: This was a large building with tall walls and required the use of a large 85′ boom lift and a 45′ boom lift. We had to use water tanks as there was no water on the outside of the building.
The project was completed over 3 weeks in October of 2021.
