Life Church – Commercial Painting Project

When Life Church acquired the property for their new church they were met with a building in need of complete repainting. The building itself hadn’t been painted since new, with the metal roof being in the original color it came with from the manufacturer. That’s when this community church reached out to the commercial painting professionals at CertaPro Painters of League City and Galveston to get their new building looking its best.

Clad in a collection of different materials including brick, stone, and CMU siding, and with a rolled steel roof, the building presented a variety of different painting surfaces to deal with. Work commenced with a head-to-toe power washing that included both the roof and the siding. After performing additional prep work and caulking, the building was ready for its transformation.

The siding was painted primarily with a spray rig followed by back rolling, this process was done twice to apply two coats of paint. The roof was also spray-coated with two coats of paint.

For the detail and trim areas traditional paintbrushes were used and throughout an articulated boom lift was employed to reach areas higher than typical ladder height, as well as move painters and materials onto the roof.

All told, the project took a month according to the scheduling agreed upon and ended up on time and on budget. The resulting change in appearance is dramatic. Have a look at the videos below to see the progress for yourself!
